My mother was W. Pauline Vickery, born Dec. 07, 1919 near Edgewood, in the New Hope Community to Willie Ann Murray Vickery and Thomas E. Vickery. She died on October 25, 1995.
My father was Glen Hunter Smith, Sr., born on March 24, 1916 near Edgewood, in the Bethlehem Community, to Albert Tarpley Smith and Alice Rebecca Duke Smith. He died on September 27, 2000.
They married on July 22, 1939, in Dallas, TX. They were married for 56 years.
My father was Justice of the Peace in Edgewood, serving 20 years for Van Zandt County, Precinct 8. My parents also owned a produce business in Edgewood for over 30 years.
Four sons were born to this union: Glen Hunter Smith, Jr., Larry Dean Smith (deceased), Ronald Paul Smith, and Willie Mike Smith.
