GEORGE WILLIS WADE

born Jan. 3, 1878 - died Oct. 8, 1978

George was the nine month old son of William Tinsley and Lydia Caroline Brazeale Wade. George Willis was probably named for his two grandfathers, George Boxley Wade and Henry Willis Brazeale. When George Willis was teething, his mother, Caroline, and his grandmother, Jane, rubbed his itching gums with a thimble to relieve the pain and itching. George got an infection in his gums from this and died of it. This story was told me by my cousin, Russeylea Hendrix Capel, granddaughter of Caroline. George is buried in Gilbert cemetery near his grandmother, Jane.
