ROHER CEMETERY
This small cemetery is located off FM 1861 on property owned by Don & Joyce Blankenship. Permission must be granted by the owners. This cemetery contains numerous graves marked only with rocks. The oldest marked found in this cemetery is also believed to be the oldest grave in Van Zandt County is that of Jacob Huffer (b. 15 Feb 1793 d. 8 Dec 1852). The grave of Samuel Huffer, a noted surveyor and also the father of the first white child born in Van Zandt County, is located in this cemetery as well.
