Sarah Elizabeth Scott Moore

Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Scott was born February 22, 1860, in Scott Community, and died October 25, 1925 in Wichita Falls, Texas. On August 13, 1876, Betty married William Bomar "Bome" Moore, the son of Levi "Lee" Moore and Mariah Louisa Stanley.

Betty and Bome had 10 children:

1. John Henry Moore, born 1877

2. Romilda Martha Moore, born 1879

3. Lee Ora Moore, born 1881

4. Fairy Bell Moore, born 1884

5. Infant son Moore, born 1886

6. William Riley Moore, born 1888

7. Herman Dempsey Moore, born 1889

8. Fern Pearl Moore, born 1891

9. Myrtle Ellen Moore, born 1893

10. Waymon Bomar Moore, born 1895

Funeral Services For Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Moore Are Held Monday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Moore, 64, who died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Stevens, 1621 Lucille Street, were held from the First Methodist Church at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, with Dr. Walter Johnson officiating. burial was in Rosemont. Mrs. Moore died following an illness of three weeks. She is survived by nine children, J. H. Moore of Lubbock, W. R. Moore of Kemp, Bomar Moore of Anson, Mrs. Hugh Nolen of Lawton, Okla., Mrs. J. W. Gailey of San Angelo, Mrs. W. P. Westmoreland of Gorman, Tex., Mrs. Will Caster of Blair, Okla., and Demps Moore of Austin. Pallbearers were: Wayne Somerville, C. P. Warman, P. F. Wright, Hugh Weaver, A. E. Miller, and D. C. Lyon. (Information from: Milda Mason)
