Nathan E. Alsobrooks was born on Saturday the 15th of March 1851 to the parents of Lance Alsobrooks & Chanie Hammock - Alsobrooks. His birth place was in the state of Alabama.

At the age of 27, Nathan E Alsoboroks married Ms. Mattie Towels whom was from the state of Alabama also. The marriage of Mr. Nathan E. Alsobrooks to Ms. Mattie Towels took place on Saturday the 28th, of November in 1878. This union of marriage took place in Hopkins County Texas.

The 1880 United States Federal Census listed Nathan, his wife Mattie, son Timothy, and mother Chanie all in Franklin County Precinct #1 on the 7th, day of June. This is duly noted by the signature of Mr. J.A. Parehman servicing as an enumerator of Franklin County.

On December 25, 1884, Nathan E. Alsobrooks contracted an agreement to purchase 800 acres of land from the Christen Family of Hopkins County.

Mrs. Mattie Alsobrooks died on Wednesday the 30th, of November in1892. This came after she had birthed seven children with her husband Nathan E. Alsobrooks. Mr. Alsobrooks did not marry until five years later.

Nathan E. Alsobrooks was received, accepted and enlisted as a full member of a Texas Masonic Governing Body and Jurisdiction. He was responsible for warranting and assisting with establishing a Masonic Lodge in Hopkins County.

East Caney Baptist Church is where Nathan held his faithful membership and ministry participation.

The marriage of Mr. Nathan E. Alsobrooks to Ms. Pinky Wallace took place on Wednesday the 15th, of December in 1897. This union of marriage took place in Hopkins County Texas. To this union no children were birth.

In the 1900 United States Federal Census, Nathan Alsobrooks is living with his new wife and seven children in Hopkins County Justice Precinct #2. Nathan was an agricultural farmer, but he most remembered for being an innovator and community activist.

The first beta version of the Bell Telephone System to the East Caney Community was stationed at his residence. Nathan was an operator and technician of routing calls to other homes in the community.

On Wednesday the 18th, of February in 1931, Mr. Nathan E. Alsobrooks was pronounced dead at the age of 79. The cause of death was anosarca, exhaustion and general swelling by his physician Dr. Aligiah O. Lee. He received a Righteous Masonic Burial with Community Recognition and was placed in the East Caney Cemetery.
