FamilySearch - Search by Collection offers many sources by state, including Texas Deaths, 1890-1976. These are Texas Death Certificates searchable by name, location, dates, and by the name of the mother and/or father. The database is quite finicky. If you have access to Ancestry.com, try finding basic information in their Texas Death Index, 1903-2000 first, then look in the FamilySearch general search.
