YANTIS, FRANK E. - Died at his home in this city Tuesday evening. He was born in Collin county, near McKinney, on March 15, 1865, and moved to Hopkins County with his parents in early boyhood. He lived on the farm until he reached the vista of manhood; then came to this city served an apprenticeship as a jeweler under W.F. Adair. A few years later, he moved to Wolfe City and engaged in the occupation as a jeweler; while there he was married to Miss Artie Tittsworth, and their union was blessed with three daughters and a son, all of whom survive. He moved back to Sulphur Springs in the early nineties and engaged in the jewelry business, starting on a small scale and building up a large and highly reputable jewelry establishment. He was member of the Masonic, Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellow, W.O.W. and Elks fraternities. Services were held at the family residence on North Jackson street, conducted by Rev. Wallace Bassett, with burial in City cemetery.

Mrs. Fletcher Young of Gafford Chapel, died Tuesday night, March 11, 1919, from paralysis. Mrs. Young was known as "Aunt Sue." Her husband, Rev. H. F. Young, preceded her in death six years ago. She is survived by five children. Bro. Graham of Greenville conducted the funeral services

YOUNG, MARY ELLENE - Also known as Polly, died July 25, 1915, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Bartlett, and was buried at Oakland cemetery. She leaves seven children: Mrs. Ella Rash, Sulphur Springs, Texas; Mrs. Jane Alexander, Cumby; Mrs. Ludy Herman, South Dakota; Mrs. Kate Bartlett, Ridgeway; William, Joseph and James Young, all of Ridgeway, Texas. She was nearly 72 years old, and death ascribed to heart failure. She was the daughter of Captain Branom and was born raised in this county.

William F. "Bubba" Young, 1948 - 2005 Funeral services for William F. "Bubba" Young, age 57, of Emory will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Cemetery with Jay Jenkins, J. C. Etheridge, L. J. Sells, Harold Haynesworth, Jimmy Jenkins and Larry Jenkins serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. William F. "Bubba" Young passed away at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, July 10, at his residence. He was born in Sulphur Springs on February 20, 1948, the son of J. W. and Bertie Marie Freiberger Young. He married Phyllis A. Turner in Sulphur Springs on July 29, 1993; she survives. Mr. Young was an independent cattle buyer. He was a devout Christian. Other survivors include: one son, Deuce Young and wife Angela of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Audra Smith and husband Thomas of Lindale; two stepdaughters, Dachiel Turner and husband Todd of Mineola; Donna Williams and husband Michael of Como; mother, Bertie Young of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Kay Fowler and husband David of Sulphur Springs; Sandra Irvin and husband Ronnie of Como; grandchildren, Blaine Smith, Bryce Smith, Fletcher Young, and Sophie Jane Young; step-grandchildren, Michael Turner, Bennett Turner, Rebecca Turner, Michaela Williams, Elijah Williams, Ashten Williams and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994.

David Younger, a good man, died at the home of his brother, Harvey Younger, at Dike Tuesday night following an illness of several weeks from a stroke of paralysis. He was 54 years old and was never married.
