A double tragedy at Cotton Springs, Callahan County, Tex., in which Tom Jones and George I. Franks were killed, was reported the other day. The two men were friends, and Franks got into a difficulty with a third party. In order to prevent a serious termination, Jones took Franks' pistol from him. Franks demanded that it be returned. Jones refused to comply. Franks went off and armed himself with a gun, and returning, repeated the demand. Jones again refused. Both men fired at the same time and both were instantly killed.
